Ktunaxanin̓tik are those who are Ktunaxa by ancestry.
Each Ktunaxanin̓tik may have kinship ties to one or more of the Ktunaxa First Nations and Tribes located within our traditional territory.

Our traditional homelands, ɁamakɁis Ktunaxa, span across the current international border between Canada and the U.S. states of Idaho and Montana.
Before the border on the 49th parallel was established, Ktunaxa groups moved throughout our homelands freely, according to our goals and the seasons.

At the organizational level, the four Ktunaxa First Nations in Canada make up the Ktunaxa Nation Council.

The two Ktunaxa tribes in the United States have their own governance structures, and sometimes work with Ktunaxa Nation Council on issues affecting all groups.
Now, as ever, all Ktunaxanin̓tik are part of the Ktunaxa Nation, no matter where they currently live.
