Individual Training Plans

An Individual Training Plan (ITP) is the first step for you as a client to access supported services.

Supported services can include:

  • Funding applications
  • Work experience positions
  • Job shadowing opportunities
  • Job coaching
  • Planning for skills development

Making an ITP ensures that you and your Employment Counselor have reviewed your career and employment goals together and have agreed on an action plan.

Once you identify your goals, it’s easier to figure out a good plan that will help you meet them.

“So, how do I start?”

Getting started is a meet ‘n’ greet with your employment counselor (case worker) for about an hour. (This can happen via Zoom if you can’t make it into the office.)

This meeting is called the ‘initial intake,’ and it leads to a workable plan for you.

The plan clearly defines:

  • The steps you can take to accomplish your goals
  • A reasonable, flexible timeline
  • Your role as client
  • Our role as your support case worker

You may get started right then on Career Cruising, a secure online portal which helps you develop and stay with your plan.

Please book an appointment or drop into the Education and Employment Service Centre during our hours and let’s get started!
