The Self-Created Summer Employment Program is designed to help qualified students gain employment experience over the summer.

Who qualifies?

  • Secondary and Post-Secondary students
  • At least 15 years old
  • Have been in full-time studies over the past year
  • Are returning to full-time studies in the fall
  • Status and non-status Indigenous people
  • Within ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa (our service area)

Students are responsible for finding their own summer employment opportunity that is in line with their course of study or career interest.

We then support them with funding (wage subsidies) which are available through our service area, ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa.

Our team can also assist students in approaching host employers.

We post the Self-Created Summer Employment Program Applications each year in May to prepare for the summer employment season.

See our FORMS page for application postings.
