Kiʔsuʔk kyukyit,
Hu qakⱡik Vickie Thomas.
Welcome to the Traditional Knowledge & Language Sector!
Our culture and language connect us and make us who we are.
I’m honoured to be one part of revitalizing our language and practicing our ways.
I’m inspired by all the work by so many dedicated people over the years for Ktunaxa language and culture.
Their work, your work, has brought us to where we are today.
And our efforts continue, in TKL, in ʔakisq̓nuk, ʔaq̓am, yaqan nuʔkiy and Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡiʔit, among our families, and with Elders.
Together we’re learning and celebrating who we are.
Enjoy browsing the TKL webpage!
Reach out to any of our staff with your questions or suggestions, and please come back for updates, as new initiatives and activities get underway.
Speaking our languages and celebrating who we are and our history in our ancestral homelands.
Ktunaxa Elders hold and share Ktunaxa knowledge and guide us in many ways.
The TKLAC guides us on,
